Tunsuume’s Story

Tunsuume is a 14-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. For years, her father took her most of the way to school on a bus, then carried her the remaining distance.

With her new Kyaro wheelchair, Tunsuume’s father is able to safely and easily help her to school, where she attends classes and spends time with her friends. With the help of her Kyaro gait trainer, Tunsuume has learned to walk short distances on her own. The postural support provided by her devices has also improved her ability to stand without assistance.
